Friday, October 7th, marked the second Northfield High School Newcoming dance. A great time was had by all and students were decked out in evening threads and provided an opportunity to relax, unwind, and have fun together.
Nighthawk scholars voiced their selections for royalty. Freshmen Royalty included Ferris Albert and Maggie Roesink. Garrison Clayton and Layshaianae Howard were crowned Sophomore Princess and Prince.
A special thanks to our wonderful parents who were responsible for selling tickets, transforming Building 1 to align with the theme of City Lights, and for serving pizza and snacks throughout the night.
The evening was graciously sponsored by the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation. In addition, during the week, the foundation unveiled a stocked community pantry, bleachers for the field, cooking equipment for the Northfield Special Education Department, and hosted a clinic and dinner for area youth.
Thanks to Student Council and our Northfield Special Events committee for enabling our school to host a first-class dance for our scholars.
