Welcome to Northfield Nighthawks Girls Basketball

 

Northfield High School is proud to announce Ernest Jones III as the new Head Coach for Nighthawk Girls Basketball. Coach Jones started his high school playing career in Stuttgart Germany where he was a starter varsity for Stuttgart American High School his freshmen and sophomore years. Jones graduated high school from Eisenhower Senior High school in Lawton, Oklahoma where he started his senior year and helped his team go 22-4. Jones continued his playing at Western Oklahoma State College in Altus, Oklahoma where he started as a sophomore. After Junior College, Jones played for Oklahoma Wesleyan University in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Jones led the conference in scoring in back to back years while also capturing Conference Player of the Year. Jones was a 2nd Team All-American. Jones will be inducted into Oklahoma Wesleyan Universities Sports Hall of Fame in Oct 2018.

Coach Jones has been coaching high school basketball for 20 years and 13 years of that as a Head Varsity coach. Coach Jones coaches competitive AAU basketball for Chauncey Billups Elite where he has been with the organization for 10 years while helping coach 14U-17U teams.

Coach Jones Graduated from Oklahoma State with a Bachelors in Secondary Education and Science and from Concordia University with a M.A. in Coaching & Athletic Administration. Coach Jones is excited to lead the future of Girls Nighthawk Basketball program!
