Course selection for current students has begun for 2018-19

Course selection for current Northfield students is now open online. Students were shown during class meetings on Wednesday, Jan. 31, how to select their classes for the 2018-19 school year. This year, course selection for all students will be done through Student Portal. All student logins have been changed to username — 6 digit student ID and password — 8 digit birthday.
Students have until noon on Feb. 21 to do their selections online. If your family does not have access to a computer, your student may sit with his or her counselor and do it together. No paper copies of course selection will be accepted. All choices must be done online.
Parents and/or students may contact their counselor to talk about Choice of Studies (course selection). Please email your student’s counselor to find out when you can speak by phone or make an in-person appointment.

All information regarding Choice of Studies is posted under the Counseling tab as Course Selection. You will find a spring timeline detailing when students will receive a hard copy of their 2018-19 class schedule and when a master schedule will be finalized.
If you scroll to the bottom of the page, you will see a section called “January Information.” Downloadable copies of the paperwork given to students during the January 31 meetings are all available in this section.
There is also an instruction sheet called “January Directions.” It is filled with helpful information regarding course selection, and we encourage you to read it.
Finally, follow these links for additional information about graduation requirements, a video of electives offered at Northfield, IB course sequencing, and course mapping through four years at NHS.
Please do not hesitate to contact your student’s counselor with questions. We are here to help!
Thank you,
