I grew up in southern Iowa and attended William Woods University on a golf scholarship. After graduation, I worked in education until I got the travel bug and taught internationally for 4 years. Coming back to the U.S., my husband and I made it out to Colorado where I have been blessed to join the Northfield team. It has been amazing to join such an innovative school that is rapidly growing and being a part of building out our cultures and traditions together.
This year I am going to give snowboarding a try and see if that can become a new winter hobby to keep me even busier than in the summer when my family and I try to rock climb, travel or just relax and read outside. As my artistic passion resides in the 2D fields of drawing, painting, and photography it can easily travel with me. If time allows I try to work on the same projects as the students, though it usually takes me years to actually complete any of them.
