I’m so grateful that I’ve had the opportunity to work at Northfield since our doors opened in 2015. I currently work as a school-based therapist at NHS Wednesday-Friday and absolutely love getting to support such a diverse, talented and compassionate group of students. I think what makes Northfield so special is that our school puts the whole child first and cares about supporting a student’s emotional growth as much as their academic growth. I have a BA in Women and Gender Studies and Plan II Honors from The University of Texas at Austin and an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary. Before I was a Licensed Professional Counselor, I taught middle and high school English in rural Mississippi and Harlem, NY. I live in Park Hill with my husband, Justin and our furbaby, Hudson- a shepherd mix who’s terrified of the dishwasher. When I’m not at Northfield, I see clients at my office at Colorado Teen Therapy and do Colorado-y things like hike, camp, ski, and wear flannel.
