I am entering my 8th year working in DPS as a special education teacher at the secondary level. I have spent the previous 7 years as a special education teacher at Abraham Lincoln HS, where I served as a center-based teacher for four years, and a mild/moderate teacher for the last three years. I also served as a paraprofessional for one year before teaching. I really enjoy building relationships with students, and I did so through coaching multiple sports while at Lincoln HS. I earned my Bachelors from Johnson & Wales University in Denver and later earned my alternative teaching licensure and Masters from Metro State.
I am very excited to be a Nighthawk because of the unique high school experience that is offered to students at NHS. I am also looking forward to learning more about our students and working with what I know is a very strong staff at NHS.
I am a huge sports fan and really enjoy watching and cheering on Colorado sports teams. I also enjoy playing basketball, riding bikes, movies, and spending time with my wife and 2 year old daughter.
