Northfield High School 2023 Graduation
Congratulations to our Class of 2023 Graduates! Graduation is Sunday, 5/21 at 3 p.m. at Bellco Theatre. Bellco Theatre is located at the Denver Convention Center in Downtown Denver. All Nighthawk Families are invited to the ticketed event; doors open at 2:45 p.m.

Tickets
Each Northfield Senior will receive 15 free tickets to graduation for friends and family, which will be distributed at Graduation Rehearsal on Friday, 5/19. Everyone who needs a seat (i.e., all children who won’t sit in laps), needs a ticket. If you have extra tickets that you don’t need or if you would like to request more than 15 tickets, please email Melinda Pearson.
Transportation
All seniors are required to report to Northfield High School on 5/21, dressed in the graduation regalia, by 12:45 p.m., to travel together on chartered buses to Bellco Theatre. Buses will depart at 1 p.m. Graduates are not required to ride buses back to Northfield after the ceremony.
Site Information
Bellco Theatre is a beautiful indoor space that is located in Downtown Denver. Please consider in advance how you will get to the theatre and alternative transportation, and do allow ample time for parking. There is $12 convention center parking available, as well as free metered parking and paid parking lots nearby. For attendees with mobility restrictions, a passenger drop-off area is located off Stout St. near the intersection of Speer Blvd. Neither Northfield High School nor DPS is responsible for any parking tickets incurred.
Note: The Colfax Marathon is happening on 5/21. DPD assures us there is no concern about road closures or parking near Bellco Theatre on this day.
Graduation Photos
Lifetouch will be at Graduation to take professional photographs. Mr. Kocher will also take casual photographs and we will share a link to those files within a week of the ceremony.
Graduation Rehearsal & Senior Checkout
Both Graduation Rehearsal and Senior Checkout are MANDATORY events. Seniors who do not participate in these are not permitted to participate in the ceremony on 5/21.
Graduation Rehearsal is held at Northfield in the Competition Gym on Friday, 5/19, 12:30-3 p.m. Seniors will receive graduation tickets, caps and gowns at the end of the rehearsal.
Expectations
Please be sure to review this Graduation Expectations document, which explains the expectations for graduation attendance, cap decoration, attire and more.
Attire
Graduates will wear the standard navy blue cap and gown from Jostens. These will be available at the end of the 5/19 Graduation Rehearsal. The only decorative regalia permitted is what is issued by Northfield, such as the IB Diploma stole, the National Honor Society cord and other honorary cords. Students are not permitted to purchase other types of decorative stoles or cords to wear during the ceremony. Students are permitted to decorate their caps as vision boards.
