I grew up in Wyoming, and still visit there often. I moved around a bit after graduating, spending time in Colorado and Washington before landing in South Dakota to pursue a BA in Mathematics Education from Black Hills State University. I returned to CO in 2013 and began teaching in Adams County, where I taught in two districts at both the high school and middle school levels. I earned my MA in Educational Leadership from Argosy University in 2018. 2020 is my first year in Denver Public Schools, and I couldn’t be more excited. I truly enjoy helping students develop their problem solving-skills and reach their goals! I am thrilled to join Northfield High School, and I look forward to learning and growing together as a community.

I have a teenage daughter named Evie and two adopted pets: Sampson the cat and a small, old dog named Zumba. At home I like to read books, bake cookies, and I sometimes join Evie in some painting fun, but she’s definitely the artist in the house. We enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, camping, and trying new activities in the water or snow, depending on the season. So far I have conquered eight of Colorado’s 14ers and hope to summit a few more each year! Always seeking ways to soak up the beauty in this amazing state.
