Howdy! I am excited to be part of the Nighthawk community for another year. I am originally from Gary, IN. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Psychology with minors in Educational Studies and Mathematics from Indiana University – Bloomington, a Master’s in Teaching Secondary Mathematics from Marian University – Indianapolis, and a Master’s in Leadership of Educational Organizations from University of Colorado – Denver. My passion for being an educator, Urban Education, and fighting for educational equity began back when I attended a gifted and talented boarding school my junior and senior year of high school and saw the disparity in education I received there versus what I received back in my hometown. In my free time, I enjoy coaching and playing volleyball, cooking, baking, playing board games, and trying culinary gems around the Denver Metro Area with my friends. Feel free to send any restaurant recommendations or recipes my way. The dream is to become a food critique once I retire from education.
