Meet Coach Calloway
The 2023-24 School Year marks Northfield High School Coach Dre Calloway’s 3rd season leading the Nighthawk Men’s Basketball program. Coach Calloway is closing in on 100 wins as a head coach sitting at 92 wins in seven varsity seasons. He’s led his programs to the State Playoffs in all but one season. Coach Calloway has developed eight college scholarship basketball players. Also 15 All Denver Prep League Honorable Mention selections, 12 All Denver Prep League selections and four All State selections have come through his program. Prior to Northfield Coach Calloway coached at Lincoln High School where he led them to a Great 8 berth in the 4A State Playoffs in the 2019-20 season. He led the Nighthawks to a 16-8 overall record and a 5A State Playoff berth last season. In addition, the Nighthawks finished 2nd in the Denver Prep League. Calloway and his staff look to build on last year’s strong season.
Coach Calloway is a DPS grad who help lead Lincoln HS to a 4A CHSAA State Championship and a Denver Prep League championship in his senior year. He was named 1st team All Denver Prep League and 2nd Team All State 4A. Coach Calloway went on to spend two years at Northeastern Junior College (Sterling, Colo.) and finished his college career in the Division 1 level at St. Francis College in the Northeast Conference.
During the off-season Coach Calloway volunteers his time working camps, showcases and tournaments throughout the region.
