Hi Nighthawks! My name is Kedi Ochs and I an English I and English II teacher here at the best school in DPS! Additionally, I am one of the two Supervisors for Student Council (Hi Cetak!!!!) It is my pleasure to call myself a Nighthawk as I’m excited to continue to learn from the amazing staff, students, and families of Northfield. This is my fifth year as an educator and second year at Northfield. Born in Namibia, but raised almost all of my life in Iowa, I do have a sense of Midwest pride I carry with me. For instance, there is no college campus better than that of the University of Iowa, which is where I received my Bachelor’s in English. Having attended the No. 2 writing college in the nation–only public university in the top 10–has absolutely nothing to do with that objective opinion… Outside of work, I enjoy playing sand volleyball, hiking – although that’s more my wife’s thing – and just being with friends and family. In January of 2023, we added a new member to our family: Chess. He is a Chesapeake Bay Retriever Mix. In the words of Russell Wilson: Nighthawk Nation… LET’S FLY!!!
