Hi! My name is Teri Stewart and I am excited to be at Northfield High School and with this amazing community! I graduated in 1994 from Princeton University with a major in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Theater and Dance. After graduation, I moved to Chicago and worked as a consultant for Andersen Consulting for more than eight years, travelling around the country working for various clients. When my daughter was born, I left consulting and started searching for a more fulfilling career. I began teaching for Denver Public Schools in 2010 and taught at Denver Center for International Studies for seven years before joining Northfield High School. When I am not at school, I help my husband run our business, Colorado Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Satori, where I teach Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes and self-defense. I started my Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training in 2009 and received my black belt in 2020. I really love how learning Brazilian Jiu Jitsu empowers and builds confidence. My favorite part about being a teacher is learning from so many fabulous and interesting people.
