Northfield Men’s and Women’s Basketball Teams have advanced to the 5A Postseason Final Four! While we understand this unique opportunity, our priority remains focused on academic learning. Students who are not excused (as outlined in the Northfield 2023-2024 Community Handbook) are expected to be present in class.
Both teams will play on Thursday, March 7, at the Denver Coliseum. Thursday is a Gold Day with odd classes. If your student(s) will attend the women’s game at 11 a.m. against Air Academy High School, please be mindful of your student’s academic standing before excusing them. Students can be excused from school in advance. There are two options to do this:
Call the Northfield Attendance Line at (720) 423-8001.
Leverage the DPS Parent Portal (See All Apps > Infinite Campus > Absence Report) and specify date and time of excused absence.
Time and Opportunity will take place in Building 5 Room 119, for those students who want to participate. There is no need to excuse students from Time and Opportunity, if they will not attend.
Northfield Men’s Basketball Team plays at 4 p.m., against Mesa Ridge High School.
Students engaging in misbehavior, including inappropriate sportsmanship or not upholding Nighthawk values, while at the Coliseum are subject to school disciplinary action. Any student asked to leave must be picked up by a parent/guardian.
