On Friday, March 22, the Nighthawk Baseball Team will compete in a free, family-friendly match up against East High School at Coors Field. Students will follow a modified Stripe Day schedule with dismissal at 12:27 p.m., for travel to Coors Field. The game begins at 1 p.m. and will conclude by 3 p.m. Northfield will provide optional transportation for up 50 students to travel to/from the game. Students can sign up to ride the bus. They must note whether they plan to ride the bus to and/or from the game, provide a digital parent/guardian authorized field trip permission form and pay $5 via MySchoolBucks by Wednesday, March 20.
The bus will depart Northfield at 12:45 p.m., and leave from Coors Field at 3:15 p.m. Alternatively, students may drive themselves to the game or ride with family members. Free parking is available in Lot A (Park Ave. & Wazee St.); an accessible drop-off area is located at 20th and Blake St. Attendees can enter through Gate D at 20th and Blake St. Gate D opens at 12:30 p.m. Accessible seating is available on the Main Concourse. Paid concessions and restrooms are available. Only single-pocket bags are allowed. No bags larger than 16”x16”x 8” are permitted into the ballpark. All bags are subject to search and re-entry is not permitted.
Students engaging in misbehavior, including inappropriate sportsmanship or not upholding Nighthawk values, while at Coors Field are subject to school disciplinary action. Any student asked to leave must be picked up by a parent/guardian. All students are encouraged to join this Nighthawk tradition! Northfield will close at 12:45 p.m.
