Track and Field Recap: Boy’s Win 4A Championship Title

Nighthawks make history with the first state championship in program history! The Nighthawks capped a historic season with league championships for the boy’s (2nd in a row) and girl’s team (threepeat) and a 4A BOYS TRACK & FIELD STATE CHAMPIONSHIP! To top this off, Matthew Kwong (11) was a state champion in the triple jump with a state-leading jump of 47’7.25” and Karamoko Sacko (12, DSST Montview) shattered a 20-year-old all-classification state record in the 110 Meter Hurdles in a time of 13.43; this makes him No. 4 in the Nation!! Many other accomplishments throughout the season include 19 new school records, the girls finished top 10 at the state championship for the third year in a row and many All State Athletes and podium state finishes.
