Required Registration for ALL Students; Planning for the First Week of the 2024-25 School Year

As we prep for the 2024-25 school year, here’s a brief glance at the first week of school. But first: Get a head start on the school year by completing the required Denver Public Schools (DPS) registration process for all new and returning Nighthawks.

Online registration must be completed for Northfield students to receive access to their class schedule via the DPS Student/Parent Portal the week of Aug. 12. 

How to Complete Registration

  1. Log into the Parent/Student Portal.
  2. Select ‘See All Apps.’
  3. Scroll down and select ‘Online Registration.’
  4. Select ‘More’ in the left column.
  5. Select ‘Online Registration.’

If you are new to DPS, or if you have recently moved into the boundary neighborhood, you must also verify your residency to enroll/register at Northfield. You can use one of the following forms:

If your student will not attend Northfield, please complete the opt-out form as soon as possible. 

First Week Schedule

The 2024-25 school year begins Monday, Aug. 19, for all Class of 2028 Freshmen and ‘New to Northfield Upperclassmen.’ Students will follow a Late Start/Stripe Day schedule with Period 1 beginning at 9:30 a.m.; the day ends at 3:55 p.m. 

The first day of school for Grades 10-12 is Tuesday, Aug. 20. All students, including Class of 2028 Freshmen and new to Northfield upperclassmen, will follow a Gold/Odd Day schedule with Period 1 beginning at 8:25 a.m.; classes end at 3:55 p.m.
