Introducing Northfield’s newly named Swim and Dive Coach, Olivia Allen. Coach Allen steps into the role after serving as an assistant coach for the last two years. With a strong background in both competitive swimming and water polo, she brings a wealth of experience and dedication to the team. Coach Allen’s journey in aquatic sports began at Santa Monica High School, where she excelled as a swimmer and water polo player, leading her water polo team to a state championship as captain. She continued her athletic career at the University of Redlands and went on to coach age group water polo teams through the Junior Olympics for five years before shifting her focus to swimming.

Since joining Northfield’s swim program, Coach Allen has been instrumental in guiding athletes to league championships and state qualifying performances. Her dual-expertise in water polo and swimming provides a unique, well-rounded approach to coaching, emphasizing technical skill development, mental resilience, and personal growth. She is committed to fostering a positive and supportive team environment where athletes can thrive.

In addition to her coaching role, Coach Allen teaches Freshman English and Honors Debate at Northfield, allowing her to engage with student-athletes both in the classroom and in the pool. She looks forward to building on the foundation she helped establish and leading the team to continued success. Go Nighthawks!
