Over the past year, the Northfield High School Foundation has used funds raised by the Nighthawk Community to pay for computers, performing arts sets, a digital sign (soon to be installed) and to provide five scholarships to Class of 2024 seniors, as well as for countless other items requested by teachers and the administration. Colorado currently spends more than $2,000 less per pupil for education than the national average. We are in the bottom half of spending per student in the country. This means it is up to the Northfield Community to make up the difference.
If every Northfield family contributes $200, we would hit our goal every year and be able to say yes to every request from teachers and admin. Currently, only 10% of Northfield families contribute to the Foundation. We have to say no to many of the requests we receive. Please consider giving to Northfield through our Colorado Gives campaign. Every dollar counts and will contribute to making Northfield the school we all want it to be. For $20, we can buy calculators for math classes and standardized testing; for $50, we can pay for online subscriptions for computer science classes; for $100, we can provide scholarship assistance for specific club competitions.
You can join the statewide Colorado Gives movement and make a big impact at Northfield. This year, Colorado Gives Day is Tuesday, Dec. 10, and it’s easily the best day to give. Please consider contributing $25, $50, $100 or $250 to the Northfield Foundation. Give today!
Early Giving Has Already Started
Now through Dec.10, every donation you give will be boosted with a $1M+ Incentive Fund made possible by Colorado Gives Foundation and FirstBank. Each nonprofit will receive a share of the fund based on their percentage of the total raised. Plus, if you set up a new monthly donation, Colorado Gives Foundation will match your first monthly donation up to $100, and up to $250,000 in total across all organizations.
