Students who drive to school and were not selected at random to receive a senior lot parking permit, must still obtain an official Paul Sandoval Campus permit to park in the lot near the Northfield Athletic Complex and on neighborhood streets. To obtain a permit, students are asked to complete the car registration form for each car they may drive to school. Parking permits and car registration will help Northfield staff members to quickly locate students who park illegally on neighborhood streets and before their car is ticketed or towed.
General student parking permits are available beginning next week, Aug. 26-30, by visiting Ms. Slater before school, at lunch and during the Final 30. Ms. Slater’s office is located in Building 5 at the far end of the Main Office. Students who obtain their driver’s license throughout the school year must complete the car registration form and then visit Ms. Slater to receive a permit.
As a reminder, students must obey all street signs, as well as refrain from blocking alleys, driveways or fire hydrants; these parking violations are strongly enforced by the Denver Police Department. Students are not allowed to park in the Shops at Beeler parking lot. Additionally, students may not park in the faculty/staff lot on the southeast side of campus. Members of Northfield’s Engagement Team, Campus Safety Officers and DSST will monitor parking lots in the morning and for the first 15 minutes following lunch.
Parking violations on and off campus may result in towing of a vehicle. Northfield High School is in no way responsible for towing or ticketing.
For parking permit questions, please utilize Northfield’s Questions and Suggestions form, or send an email to nhscommunications@dpsk12.org. Seniors who were selected to receive a permit for the senior lot can obtain the permit this week in the Library (Building 3) during off periods.
