Northfield Science Teacher, Ms. Anna Noble, wrote and submitted a grant application for the purchase of a portal lab bench outfitted with a sink and hot water, as part of the Denver Teachers’ Awards Grant program. Northfield has 10 science labs; however, not all biology classes are taught in these classrooms due to our growing student population, and typical biology labs are not widely performed as the result of safety requirements in alternative settings. The Denver Teachers’ Awards program recognizes outstanding teachers and volunteers who provide tremendous contributions to excellence in education. The program is a way to show support and admiration for our public school teachers.
