Meet Coach Tammy Campbell
Coach Tammy Campbell has led the Northfield High School Nighthawk Women’s Volleyball program since 2019, while also serving on campus as a Dean of Culture. Under her leadership, the program achieved a historic milestone by advancing to the regional tournament for the first time in school history, expanded to include a freshman team, and consistently developed postseason honorees—including multiple All-City selections and an All-State Honorable Mention.
Coach Campbell is a Colorado native who returned to Denver in 2015 after living in the Chicago area, where she competed as a middle blocker for Northern Illinois University (NIU). A member of the NIU Athletics Hall of Fame alongside her 1993 teammates who advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division I Tournament, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and a Master’s degree in Sport Management.
Her extensive coaching background includes high school head coaching experience, three years as an assistant coach at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois, and serving as a head coach for Denver’s Dive Volleyball Club since 2015. Passionate about player development, Coach Campbell is dedicated to sharing her knowledge so student-athletes can grow both on and off the court.
