Coach Campbell, Coach Price and Coach Keever

Success in high school athletics is rarely a coincidence; it is the result of dedicated leadership. This year, Denver Public Schools (DPS) has honored three of Northfield High School’s head coaches with City League Coach of the Year awards, recognizing their contributions to their programs and their student-athletes.

With dozens of programs across the district, these awards are highly competitive. Being selected as a Coach of the Year means being recognized by peer coaches as a leader who sets the standard for performance and sportsmanship within a specific league.

Honored for Excellence

The City League Coach of the Year award acknowledges those who effectively navigate the challenges of their specific classification, fostering growth in their players while competing at the highest levels in Colorado.

  • Tammy Campbell (5A Volleyball): Honored for her leadership and the development of the Northfield Volleyball program within the 5A City League.
  • Sydney Price (6A Girls Basketball): Recognized for her commitment to excellence and player development at the 6A level.
  • Jason Keever (5A Boys Soccer): Awarded for his ongoing dedication to the Northfield Boys Soccer program and his leadership within the 5A classification.

Building the Nighthawk Legacy

While these awards are individual honors, they reflect the strength of Northfield’s athletic department as a whole. Having coaches recognized across different seasons and levels of play shows a consistent commitment to excellence throughout the school year.

Great programs are defined by the people who lead them. Congratulations to Coach Campbell, Coach Price, and Coach Keever for their dedication to our student-athletes and the Northfield community.
