Friday, Sep. 19
Hallway Decorating
Student Council is hosting the annual hallway decorating event. Each class is responsible for decorating a wall that relates to the Homecoming theme New York, New York. The hallway decorations are meant to elevate spirit and hype about the dance.
This year, Student Council is decorating their respective hallways on September 19 from 10-2. If students wish to participate in the decorating, they are encouraged to reach out to their class president listed below.
Class of 2026 Theme: Senior Street (Sesame Street) Class President: Chloe Erbecker

Spirit Week: Tuesday – Friday / Sep. 23-Sep. 26
Dress up, show your school pride, and take part in daily challenges!
Purchase Tickets: $80 per person or only $150 per couple. Receive two drink tickets, heavy appetizers, a NHS item and view a special performance by our nationally ranked Spirit team and Drumline.
This annual fundraiser is for adults only and supports school programs while cheering on the teams!

Why it’s fun: Watch your classmates battle it out in this long-standing tradition!
Student Council is hosting the annual Junior vs Senior Flag Football Game. Students have joined and practices have begun. We have a modified schedule for that day and all students are encouraged to join us on the football field after 8th Period to cheer on their peers from the stands. There are games, in-game-competitions, food for sale, and music for all students to enjoy while the game is being played.

Homecoming Football Game
For those attending the HoCo football game against Denver South at 6 p.m. on Sep. 26, atthe All City Stadium, please review the information below. Tickets for the game are not on sale yet but should go on sale the Monday of game week on GoFan.

Tips for Fans: Students need their student IDs to enter and we advise students to leave their backpacks and bags in the car to speed up the entrance process with security.
Nighthawk Alumni
Calling all Nighthawk alumni! We’re saving a special spot just for you in the stands at this week’s football game. Swing by the Alumni Table to check in, grab your alumni badge, and then join fellow Nighthawks in our designated section to cheer on the team together. Let’s fill the stands with Northfield pride—because once a Nighthawk, always a Nighthawk!
Safety Measures
Promote Good Sportsmanship – DPS and Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) membership promotes good sportsmanship by student-athletes, coaches and spectators. We request your support in helping to create a positive environment that is safe and welcoming. Profanity, derogatory comments, and other intimidating actions directed at athletes, officials, team representatives, and/or other spectators, is not tolerated and are grounds for removal.
Physical Student ID’s Required – All Northfield students will be responsible for showing an ID to get into the stadium, regardless if they are with their parent, guardian, or adult. No paper copies or screenshots allowed.
Northfield and D. South Students ONLY (excludes students who play for Northfield from other schools. These students must be on Northfield’s roster to attend.)
Students from other high schools CAN NOT attend, regardless if they are with a family friend. Middle and Elementary schools students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Weapons Detection – Weapons Detection will be active at the stadium entrance and all bags are subject to search. Permissible bags include those listed below. Exceptions will be made for all medically necessary items after proper inspection. Please note, noisemakers are not permitted and may be confiscated.
No backpacks or bags are allowed. Students will be turned away. Medical back backs are permitted
Substance-Free Expectations – Denver Public Schools and Northfield High School are committed to creating a safe, family-friendly environment at all events. To support this, our campus, stadium, and parking lots are substance-free zones. Alcohol, drugs, and other illegal contraband are not permitted. These expectations apply to everyone in attendance—students, parents, alumni, and guests. As a reminder:
No alcohol, drugs, or illegal contraband are allowed on school property, including the parking lot, stadium, and surrounding areas.
Individuals suspected of being under the influence, or found in possession of alcohol, drugs, or other illegal contraband, will be asked to leave. Parents/guardians will be contacted to pick up students immediately.
Students who receive disciplinary actions may be prohibited from attending the Homecoming dance the following day in accordance with DPS policies. Tickets to the dance will be refunded if this is the case. If the student is also an athlete currently in season, disciplinary consequences may additionally extend to their team participation.
At the end of the game, all spectators are expected to exit the stadium promptly.
Ticketing
Upon arrival at the stadium, spectators must present their electronic ticket. Northfield students will also need to present their student ID to enter. Please allow Denver Public Schools (DPS) staff to redeem your electronic ticket at the gate. Should you redeem your ticket prior to the event, you will be redirected to stand in another line for review of ticket purchase details.
In-season Fall athletes with an athletic sticker on their student ID will be admitted to the game free of charge. Students must present their ID with the athletic sticker at the gate for entry. Without the ID and sticker, admission will not be granted.
Students who are ineligible to attend the Homecoming game and/or dance due to behavioral concerns will have this communicated directly to their families by the Dean of Culture.
Parking
Primary parking is available in lots on the west side of the stadium and campus lots near the stadium, Visitor team and spectator parking is on the East side of All City Stadium, located at 1500 S. Race Street. Overflow parking is available at Denver South High School’s main parking lot. However, during large events, parking may be limited. It’s advisable to carpool and arrive early to secure a spot.

Time: 7-10 PM
Tickets: $15 – Sales start Thursday, Sep. 11 and end on Friday, Sep. 26 – no tickets at the door. Get your tickets from Mr. Ritter or Ms. Vanessa Piria during lunch or after school. Tickets must be purchased in person.
School ID Required: Students must present their physical ID at the door. We will not take printed copies or copies on the phone. Students who don’t have their ID will be turned away and will be given a refund at a later date. Students must have all fees paid to purchase a ticket. Please email Vanessa Piria, treasurer, to inquire about fee payment options.
Northfield Students Only: Due to limited capacity and a high emphasis placed on safety protocols, non-Northfield guests are not permitted to attend the dance.
