Meet Coach Daniel Nestor
The 2024-25 school year marked Northfield High School Coach Daniel Nestor’s fifth year leading the Nighthawk Women’s soccer program. Over the past three seasons, the Nighthawks compiled a 42-7-1 record, two Denver Prep League Conference Championships, and were 2022 CHSAA 4A State Champions.
Coach Nestor was recognized as the 2022 CHSAA 4A State Coach of the Year as well as the Denver Public Schools Coach of the Year, and was selected as Colorado Soccer Association Competitive Girls Coach of the Year.
In addition to his role at Northfield, Coach Nestor is the High School and Elite Club Regional League (ECRL) Director for the Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club and serves as the MLS Next Academy Academic Advisor for the Rapids Academy. Coach Nestor holds a U.S. Soccer ‘B’ License, a nationally recognized certification for advanced coaching, and earned his bachelor’s degree in Social Science from Regis University.
As a Denver native, Coach Nestor has strong ties with the greater Northfield community and strives to build a culture of student-athlete success, both in the classroom and on the soccer field. The Nighthawks Women’s Soccer program is rooted in the “All-In” mentality that empowers players to become their best in a team-driven environment while pursuing excellence at Northfield High School.
