Note: This is a living document and will be updated as Northfield High School finalizes additional dates, deadlines, and activities for graduating seniors. Please note that all dates are subject to change.
**All seniors must participate in the checkout process to participate in Commencement**
May 12
Seniors pick up check-out forms – In period 1 or 3 classes, in the main office in B5, from their counselors, school website, or on Schoology.
While students are in classes, students must obtain a signature (for every class with the exception of IB Lang and Lit) to verify grades between Monday, May 12th through Thursday, May 22nd. They must find their IB teachers during “Final 30” or at their IB exam. Students are NOT allowed to interrupt class time to obtain a signature. – If any student has outstanding books or materials owed to a teacher, the student must turn that in directly to the teacher. This includes loaner calculators used for math courses.
May 13 – 16
Gradebook Window/Posting Final Grades: – Senior teachers will post final grades between May 13 – May 16.

Chromebook and Charger Return in the Library: – Students must return their Chromebook, chargers, and hotspots to Will Bowen and Xavier Jones in the library. – Chromebook check-in will take place between the hours of 10:00 AM – 3:45 PM. – Students will be charged for any technology that is not returned.

Senior Awards – 6PM – Invite only – Awards ceremony is in the competition gym

Please arrive for Senior Check-Out at the time assigned to your last name. This helps keep the process smooth and efficient for everyone—thank you for your support as we wrap up their final days at Northfield!
Library Book Return in B3 Library – All students must obtain a signature from Northfield Librarian, Ms. Liz Ritter, to ensure there are no missing books on accounts. – If students do not have a missing book, a fee will be added to their account and must be paid by Thursday, May 22.
Future Center Survey, B3 Great Hall – Students will verify the college they are attending or post secondary plans with DSF. – Students will complete any remaining requirements for DSF with Mr. Montez or Ms. Andrade.
Students check-out with their counselor in B3, Great Hall – Students report to the Great Hall to meet with their alpha counselor to ensure all graduation course requirements are met. * ICAP is complete. * Competency is met. * Edgenuity courses are complete.
Athletic Check-Out, B3 Great Hall – Return any outstanding jerseys or equipment to Ms. Shea Morris, Athletic Coordinator. – Failure to return items will result in a fee.
IB Exit Survey B3 Great Hall – Students meet with Mr. Wright and/or Ms. Cruz at the IB Coordinator table to get a signature. – If you did not complete the survey in class, you’ll need to complete it (on one of the event provided computers) before you will get a ‘completion’ signature at this station.
Community Service Hours, B5 119 -Students verify community service hours or complete a waiver with Alpha Admin in this building.
FINAL STOP – Building 5 – Fines and Fees: B5 119, Students must check their MySchoolBucks account (in the parent portal under the apps option at the top) prior to checkout. * Cash, check or money orders are accepted at the school during checkout, if needed. * An IT representative will be present to answer any questions for tech charges.
Completed Forms, B5 Dr. Martin’s Station! – Students must submit their completed check-out form to Dr. Martin in order to receive their cap and gown.
May 23
Mandatory Graduation Practice – 1PM – 3PM – Competition Gym – Cap & Gown will be distributed to students following graduation practice. – Students will not receive their cap and gown if they have unpaid fees, have not completed the check-out process, or have not met graduation requirements.
May 30
Graduation -Buses are available for graduating seniors who need transportation to/from the graduation ceremony. If a student plans to ride the bus, they must arrive at Northfield’s south/staff parking lot by 10:15 AM.; buses will depart promptly at 10:30 AM. NOTE: If a student plans to take the bus, they should have indicated that on this survey. -Graduating seniors who do not require transportation must arrive at the DU Ritchie Center no later than 11:45 a.m. Upon arrival, seniors must check-in.
