For the 2020-21 school year, our goal is for all registration to occur online for optimal health and safety. Parents and students are currently permitted on campus by appointment only. If you already filled out your Annual Family Update in May, you can scroll down to the Registration Addendum section to get started.

If your student has been accepted to Northfield High School, please see below for registration instructions. If you would like your student to attend Northfield High School, please verify that they meet residency requirements by checking the Denver Public Schools site here – you can enter your address to verify your neighborhood school. If Northfield is not your neighborhood school and you would like to be added to our waitlist, you may participate in Round 2 of choice through the School Choice website. Please do not attempt to complete any of the registration forms below for Northfield High School if you are not in our boundary or have not been accepted to our school through the School Choice process. If you have any questions, you may reach out to our Registrar, Candace Eckels ( or 720-423-8000.

Step One: Annual Family Update

To begin registration, all families should fill out the Annual Family Update by logging into their DPS Parent Portal account and navigating to the Annual Family Update via the “more” menu item. Check for an active account or create an account at You can log in anytime beginning 8 a.m. July 27. If you have a residency verification form to submit, see below for links to those forms.

If you are unable to login to your Parent Portal account, you can download registration forms here in English or here in Spanish. You can print, fill out, scan and then email those back to our registrar, Candace Eckels ( Or you can mail the completed packet to Northfield High School, 5400 Central Park Blvd., Denver, CO 80238.

If you are not able to update in the Parent Portal and cannot print and return the forms linked above, please call or email our staff. Candace Eckels 720-423-8007 or Darlene Rosas 720-423-8004 to make other arrangements.

If you completed Annual Family Update during the May window, you must submit a Registration Addendum, indicating whether you would like your student(s) to attend 100% remote or in-person for the 2020-21 fall semester. You can access that form here in English and here in Espanol. You may print, complete, scan and email that form ( OR you can review the form and fill out an electronic version of it here for our records to save time.

Step Two: Residency Forms 

If you are new to DPS or if you have recently moved into the boundary neighborhood, you must also verify your residency to enroll at Northfield. You can use one of the following forms.

Step Three: Fees

Fee information is available now on Payment of fees is required to complete registration. Although we are virtual until October, fees are still required for textbooks, volunteer hours logging, plagiarism services, technology and other items.

Steph Four: Health Forms

All DPS students must provide proof of immunization or a valid waiver. Students who require medication while on campus must also have medication forms completed by their health care provider. These health forms are available under the “New Students” menu on the “Health Care Forms” page, which you can also access here.

Hazel Health

We have partnered with Hazel Health to bring telemedicine to Northfield High School! Students can visit the nurse at school and be connected to a physician, who can then consult and prescribe necessary medications or further follow-up.
