I was born and raised outside of Chicago, Ill., where I developed a passion for science and distance running. I attended Dartmouth College, running track and cross country, as well as majoring in Chemistry. After college I earned a PhD from Stanford University in Organic Chemistry – specifically the biosynthesis of antibiotics (ask me about it!). After graduation, I elected to pursue my true passion, teaching and coaching high school students. I moved to Denver in 2016 and enjoy spending time with my family in the mountains.
