Hello! My name is Joey Bender and I teach Business Management and Marketing at Northfield High School. Before joining Northfield, I was a teacher at West Leadership Academy. I received my undergraduate degree from Metropolitan State University of Denver and am currently in a Master’s Program at Adams State for Applied Sport Psychology. I’m extremely excited to be a Nighthawk and to start building relationships and getting down to business of teaching business! Beyond classroom teaching, I am the head Northfield cross country coach. I’ve coached for seven years in both high school and college. I welcome the opportunity to use my experience to foster a culture of excellence in and out of the classroom at Northfield High School! I was born in Aurora and went to Grandview High School, where I ran cross country and track and field. I don’t see myself leaving Colorado as there is so much to do and I love taking advantage of the opportunities this beautiful state provides. I love to run, rock climb, hike, fish, be on the top of 14ers, and just about anything outside! I look forward to a great year of teaching and coaching and couldn’t be more ready to be a part of the Northfield Family! GO Nighthawks!
