Meet Coach Henry
Coach Henry was born in Ghana and came to the United States when he was 9-years-old. He began his wrestling career in high school at Denver East and by his senior year won the Colorado Wrestling State Championship Tournament within the 145lb weight class.
Coach Henry went on to wrestle in college where he was a 2X NJCAA All- American and later transferred to D1 wrestling in the Pac-12 conference at the University of Portland State, where he studied Psychology and Criminology. He currently works with high-risk youth with the State of Colorado Division Of Youth Services.
He looks forward to being the head wrestling coach at Northfield High School. Prior to being named Head Coach, Henry served 10 years as an assistant coach at Denver East High School under his mentor. Coach Henry believes the best part of coaching is seeing someone’s potential and making them believe what’s possible.
