Q.1. Will Northfield’s 9th grade counselors be visiting my student’s middle school to help with course selection? A.1. Northfield is welcoming 9th graders from 28 different feeder middle schools across the district—as well as many students from outside the district. Because of this, we’re able to accommodate only four middle schools for an in-person visit during the school day. We’ll be visiting Denver Green School Northfield, McAuliffe International, Florida Pitt Walker and Bill Roberts. Priority was given to schools with the largest number of incoming students.
Q.2. What if my student’s school is not one of the schools visited by counselors? A.2. These families and students should definitely attend our ‘Welcome to the Nest’ event on April 16th at 6 p.m. at Northfield High School. The 9th grade counselors will be offering breakout sessions at 6:55 and 7:30 PM.
Q.3. What if I am unable to attend the ‘Welcome to the Nest’ event? A.3. Students and families who can’t make it to the event should use the Course Selection Presentation linked above and/or send questions to the 9th grade counselors via the Google form linked above.
