Originally from Baltimore, MD, I’ve been a Visual Arts teacher for nine years, teaching almost every medium, but specifically enjoying digital photography & drawing/painting. I moved to Denver in 2022 with my fiancé Will and our Australian Shepherd, Samoa. My passions include photography, tie-dye, acrylic and watercolor painting, and thrifting. I enjoy hiking, camping, and am on track to read 50 books this year. I hold both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Art Education from Temple University and have taught at a high school in Baltimore and at McAuliffe International School. In the summer, I teach at the Art Students League of Denver and sell tie-dye and photography. Traveling is a big part of my life; I’ve explored Central and South America and Europe, including a summer in Colombia with Fulbright-Hays focused on Peace and Reconciliation. I incorporate multicultural perspectives into my teaching and believe in the power of creativity to enhance life. Outside of work, I love attending concerts, listening to music, and practicing mindfulness and yoga. “The most regretful people on earth are those who felt the call to creative work, who felt their own creative power restive and uprising, and gave to it neither power nor time.” ― Mary Oliver
