I hold a PhD from Stony Brook University in Spanish Literature, a Master’s degree in Spanish Literature from Kansas State University, and two Licenciaturas in English and Spanish Philology from Universidad de Granada. For decades, my interests have centered around world literature and critical theory, with an emphasis on structuralist Marxism and Lacanian psychoanalysis. Most of my writings and presentations have revolved around the exploration of the ideological unconscious and the historical development of subjectivity. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my kids and dog, listening to music, reading, studying, and cooking.
