Bonjour ! My name is Saliha Bakreti and I am thrilled to be part of Northfield High School. As a child, I grew up in a small town in southern France, in a family where the French and Arabic languages were spoken. Passionate about languages, I started a Bachelor’s Degree in Foreign Languages, Literature and Civilization at the University of Avignon with the idea of becoming a language teacher. As a language lover, I have learned many languages, such as English, Spanish and Classical Arabic, so I truly understand the challenges when learning a new language. After completing my education, I moved to New York, then Minneapolis, and finally Denver. Before joining NHS, I was a French teacher at the International School of Denver for more than 10 years. I am currently in a Master’s Program for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education. My favourite quote: ” Speak a new language so that the world will be a new world.” Rumi.
