The DPS Seal of Biliteracy is an award for graduating high school students who can read, speak, listen, and write at a high level in English, as well as another language. It is a prestigious award that lets colleges and employers know you are proficient in more than one language. The Seal appears in your official transcript and your diploma, and you’ll receive an honorary cord to wear at graduation. Once you have registered for the Seal, school counselors will help you to meet qualifying marks for English and World Language. Please be sure to view the Seal of Biliteracy Requirements.
Northfield students who are interested in this designation, must complete the Seal of Biliteracy Application by Thursday, Oct. 31, 2024. Completion of the application establishes you as a Seal candidate and triggers a communication sent out in November with the next steps you need to take to earn the Seal of Biliteracy. Find more information about the path to obtain the Seal HERE.
