Volunteering

All Northfield High School students are required to complete 30 hours of volunteer work to graduate. Students can find volunteer opportunities on their own or by reviewing suggested ones from popular outlets, such as Food Bank of the Rockies, Children’s Hospital Colorado and The Dumb Friend’s League.

To receive credit for volunteer hours, students mustlogin to x2Vol using a DPS Student email address as the username and student birth date as the password (ex: 12212005).

If your hours have not been verified:

This means that the Activity Contact has not verified your hours using the link that was included in the email or text that was sent to them or through their organization’s x2VOL account.

We highly recommend telling your Activity Contact that they will be receiving an email from x2VOL (student-verification-noreply@x2vol.com) with subject of “Action Requested: Confirm hours for [student name]” so they can be on the lookout for it. This will help in getting your hours verified. This email is sent to the Activity Contact immediately after you click Submit for the Activity entry. You can also ask the Activity Contact to check their Spam folder to ensure they are not missing our emails.

If a few days have passed, and your hours have not been verified, you can do one of the following:

WATCH THIS VIDEO ON HOW TO EDIT THE CONTACT INFO AND RESEND THE VERIFICATION REQUEST.

Participation in a community project can be logged as a “personal project” with a description of the activity. The description and time commitment must be verified by the community contact. It will then get sent back to Northfield for approval. If it is a Northfield project, send the verification and description to the Northfield staff member who supervised the activity.
