Group photo of staff wearing green to celebrate School Performance Framework rating of green!
Staff members wear green to celebrate Northfield’s ‘Green’ School Performance Framework rating from the Colorado Department of Education.

A Green rating means that we are meeting state expectations across the areas that matter most—academic achievement, student growth, and postsecondary readiness. We couldn’t have done this without our students, teachers, support staff, and families. Your dedication, resilience, and partnership made this achievement possible.

This year, we are committed to building on this momentum—challenging students, supporting their growth, and preparing them for the future. While we are proud of this Green rating, we know our work is not finished, and we will stay focused on sustaining progress and closing gaps for all students.

Working Together as Good Neighbors

A community member recently shared concerns about trash left near their home. We ask students, families, and staff to be thoughtful about trash disposal and to respect our neighbors’ property. Small actions from all of us help keep our community clean and demonstrate the care and values we uphold as a school.

Safety Updates

Student’s Crossing 56th Avenue

To keep students safe on 56th Avenue, staff will direct them to walk around Building 1 and use the crosswalk with signal lights. Some students have been cutting through Buildings 1 and 4 and crossing without the crosswalk, which is unsafe on this heavily trafficked, six-lane road.  Students who ignore staff directions will face disciplinary action.

Please remind your student to follow this safety procedure.

Bicycle Security Reminder

Our campus has recently experienced bicycle theft. To help protect their bikes, students should always lock them securely using a high-quality U-lock, as thieves have cut through weaker locks. We encourage students to report any suspicious activity on campus to staff immediately. We appreciate your support in reinforcing this safety measure with your students.

Student IDs Mandatory

As a shared campus with DSST, it is important for the safety of all students and staff that everyone on the Paul Sandoval Campus wears their school ID at all times. IDs allow us to quickly identify who belongs on campus and help keep our community secure. Beginning next week, students who need a replacement ID will be charged $5 to their MySchoolBucks account for each replaced ID.
