Northfield’s Esports team for Super Smash Bros. has qualified for the the top 16 by defeating No. 1 seed George Washington High School, and will compete for a state championship title in person, Thursday, May 2, at 9 a.m., at Localhost in Lakewood. (Link to stream matches). The team is led by Seniors Xander Dionne and Anthony Shermer. This is the first championship run for Northfield’s Esports program, and we expect more in the future as the program grows.
