This summer, Northfield High School Biomed teacher Angela Cannava volunteered her time and talent at the 2025 HOSA International Leadership Conference (ILC), the largest in the organization’s history, with over 14,000 attendees.

By dedicating her time to this national event, Ms. Cannava chose to engage in professional learning and service at a national level — deepening her knowledge of emerging trends in healthcare education, building connections with peers from across the country, and further aligning her teaching with the real-world demands of the healthcare field.

Her involvement reflects the kind of educator who leads by example, bringing back valuable insights and inspiration that directly benefit Northfield students enrolled in the school’s Career & Technical Education (CTE) Biomed pathway.

Colorado HOSA formally recognized Ms. Cannava for her contributions and service, sharing their appreciation in a message to school leadership:

“Angela Cannava’s dedication to Colorado HOSA and her continued pursuit of professional growth directly benefit the students she serves. Advisors like her are the reason our organization continues to thrive.” — Colorado HOSA Leadership

We are proud to celebrate Ms. Cannava’s commitment to lifelong learning, her leadership within the broader healthcare education community, and her unwavering focus on preparing students for success in high-demand, high-impact careers.
