About the Program

Northfield High School is proud to compete in CHSAA-sanctioned Esports — a program that brings teamwork, strategy, and competition into the digital arena. Students have the opportunity to represent the Nighthawks in popular titles such as Rocket League, Super Smash Bros., Mario Kart, and Chess; developing skills in teamwork, communication, and leadership along the way. This year we have approximately 30 students across 4 different games, with numerous teams in each game. In our short time as a program we have won championships in Chess (1 team, 1 solo), and have been advancing further each year in the CHSAA State Tournaments for the other titles.
