Denver Health School-Based Health Centers

Denver Health Pediatrics at Denver Public Schools provide school-based health centers (SBHC) that offer no-cost child and adolescent care. Services are available to any Denver Public Schools (DPS) student or sibling. These clinics offer convenient care that limits the amount of time students are out of class and parents/guardians have to be off work. Students can get same-day or next-day appointments.

Dental

They offer oral health screenings, cleanings, sealants, fluoride application, x-rays, exams, fillings, tooth removal or urgent dental care.

Mental Health

Services include individual, group or family therapy. Also offer treatment for depression, anxiety, substance misuse and medication management.

Locations

The district has nearly 20 locations across the Denver Public School district. The closest to Northfield is the clinic at Montbello High School.

Cost and Insurance

Students do not need to have insurance to use a SBHC. When using a SBHC, families are asked for health insurance information. Insurance is billed for SBHC services, but there are no fees/co-pays collected from the student or their family. If you have any billing questions or concerns, please contact your SBHC.
