I am the 9th Grade Assistant Principal and Activities Director at Northfield. I am incredibly proud to be a new member of the Nighthawk team supporting 9th grade, student activities, graduation and all things Senior Class. I am blown away by the community involvement and school spirit here at Northfield and can’t wait to see more of that this year with the Nighthawk Nation Athletics, Spirit Program, Student Council, and one of the 60+ student clubs and organizations the school offers!

I grew up in Virginia Beach, Va, and earned a degree in business from Virginia Tech (go Hokies!). Following my time in Blacksburg, I moved to Denver to begin teaching English, and started my career at West High School where I met my husband, Fred, in 2009. I earned my Master’s Degree in 2011 in Curriculum and Instruction, and Doctoral Degree in 2019 in Leadership for Educational Equity. I have worked in Title I schools in the Denver Metro Area for 15 years, serving as a teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal prior to joining the Northfield team. I care deeply about creating systems to support all students in their educational experience and deeply value connections and prioritize equitable educational practice. I have two kids, Oscar and Rose, and two dogs, Dobby and Luna. When I am not at work, I enjoys traveling, reading, and thrifting.
