¡Hola! My name is Diana Ballesteros and I am so thrilled to be a part of Northfield High School. Previously, I taught Spanish in a public school in North Carolina for five years. I was born in Barranquilla, Colombia, not long ago :-), where I taught English as a Foreign Language for an estimated 5 years in public and private schools. I moved to the United States with two suitcases and a backpack and this was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. I received my Bachelor’s in Education in my hometown and then my Master’s in Spanish teaching in Salamanca, Spain. I am happy to be part of the World Language team here at NHS, to learn about the IB program and to create a high level literature class for all bilingual students the school welcomes each year. When I am not teaching, I catch up on new foreign films, hang out with friends, take a latin dance class, go to the mountains for a hike, read, explore new restaurants, or plan my next travel adventure.
