¡Hola!, my name is Jj Méndez. I am from Colombia. not Columbia. :I I’ve been a language teacher for more than 16 years. I enjoy teaching! I am constantly trying to make my students aware of the importance of learning another language. I always tell students that regardless of what they plan or wish for their future, speaking another language is going to open doors and contribute to every single goal they set in life. I truly believe in this because I have lived it myself. I have had the chance to travel places around the world, meet awesome people, and enjoy personal and professional rewards because I speak a second language. Therefore, I am more than pleased to help my students learn Spanish and also teach them about my culture and my country. Nobody learns without getting it wrong; that is why, I invite my students to work under the 3Ps (pay attention, practice, and practice more) and to make as many mistakes as possible while practicing so we all can learn from them! I am pretty sure I am going to make some myself because everyday I learn more about the language, the culture, and also about lots of things that are different and new for me in the U.S. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones, travelling, watching movies, and reading (I love dystopian stuff) If you got this far trying to find out what could be a good snack for Sr. Méndez, fruit and nuts will put a smile on my face 🙂
