I have more than 10 years experience working in DPS as a special education teacher at the secondary level. I spent the seven previous years as a special education teacher at Abraham Lincoln High School, where I served as a center-based teacher for four years, and a mild/moderate teacher for three years. I also served as a paraprofessional for one year before teaching. I really enjoy building relationships with students, and I did so through coaching multiple sports while at Lincoln High School. I earned my Bachelor’s from Johnson & Wales University in Denver and later earned my alternative teaching licensure and Master’s from Metro State. I am excited to be a Nighthawk because of the unique high school experience that is offered to students at NHS. I look forward to learning more about our students and working with what I know is a very strong staff at NHS. I am a huge sports fan and really enjoy watching and cheering on Colorado sports teams. I also enjoy playing basketball, riding bikes, movies, and spending time with my wife and daughter.
