After eight years in the classroom teaching English and Theatre in Aurora Public Schools, I was called to support students in a new role and chose to pursue an MA in School Counseling from UNC. I started as a School Counselor at Northfield in the 2021-2022 school year. I am passionate about addressing the whole child to be sure our students get well rounded support for their academics, their career planning and their social emotional needs. 2023-2024 marked the first year Northfield has had 9th grade specific counselors, and I have greatly enjoyed providing focused support and programming for 9th graders in their transition to high school. Outside of Northfield I am a mom of two, a Colorado Native and Green Valley Ranch community member, a lover of hiking, theatre, dance, Star Wars and The Wizard of Oz.
